Agadir Hosts Main Planning Meeting for African Lion 2025 Exercise

The key planning meeting for the upcoming African Lion 2025 exercise is currently underway in Agadir, Morocco. Taking place from November 18 to 22, the gathering is hosted by the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces and is focused on the detailed arrangements for the 21st edition of this large-scale military exercise. The discussions are taking place at the General Staff of South Zone, marking a critical step in the preparation for the exercise, which is scheduled to take place from May 12 to 23, 2025.

The Kingdom of Morocco took part from November 13 to 15, 2024 in Bucarest, in the high-level meeting to launch the US initiative of Global Forum to Prevent Radiological and Nuclear Terrorism, known also as the Global FTPRNT. During this event organized by the US State Department and Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Morocco was represented by the Director of United Nations and International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates as well as by the Moroccan Ambassador to Bucarest. The Kingdom underlined its commitment to the strategic objectives of combating nuclear terrorism, which require a proactive and multidimensional approach, through national measures and contributions to capacity building in African countries, as well as through the promotion of sub-regional, regional, and international cooperation.

A French Delegation of Business Leaders visits the Laayoune Sakia El Hamra Region
