Ambassador Amrani Meets with U.S. Delegation from the American Council of Young Political Leaders

In his remarks, Ambassador Amrani emphasized the deep and multifaceted partnership between the United States and Morocco, highlighting the strong ties that span various sectors, including economics, security, and cultural exchange. He underscored that this relationship is firmly rooted in mutual respect and collaboration.
The Ambassador also underlined key instruments of this partnership, including the U.S.-Morocco Free Trade Agreement, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This agreement, he noted, has played a pivotal role in enhancing economic ties and fostering trade between the two nations. Additionally, he pointed to the exemplary military cooperation between the U.S. and Morocco, including the African Lion joint military exercise, reflecting both countries’ shared commitment to regional stability and security.
Ambassador Amrani further highlighted how Morocco, under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has become a stabilizing force in North Africa and across the African continent. He noted that His Majesty’s leadership in driving transformative reforms within Morocco, as well as his strategic initiatives aimed at fostering regional integration, has significantly contributed to Morocco’s development and prosperity. The Ambassador noted one such Initiative, His Majesty’s Atlantic Initiative, which aims to connect landlocked sub-Saharan African countries to the Atlantic Ocean, thereby unlocking trade and development opportunities for the entire region. He stressed that Morocco's leadership experience and leadership in Africa can serve as a valuable model for the United States to work together in driving innovation, sustainable development, and long-term growth across the continent.
Throughout the meeting, the ACYPL delegation expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to visit Morocco, engage with Moroccan officials, and deepen their understanding of the country's dynamic role on the regional stage.
