Ambassador Youssef Amrani holds a Meeting with President of World Bank Ajay Banga

Highlighting both the structural and evolving nature of this partnership, Ambassador Amrani emphasized the multitude of opportunities presented, combined with the longstanding trust that unites Morocco with the World Bank. These factors serve as a compelling argument for both parties' common willingness to build stronger momentum through increasingly ambitious and targeted projects.
Moreover, Ambassador Amrani stressed the imperative of structuring the partnership outlined by the joint roadmap, driven by the shared vision and the substantial increase in cooperation projects linking Morocco and the World Bank across various strategic and priority areas such as education, agriculture, health, water, and energy.
In this context, the diplomat emphasized the crucial role of World Bank operations in knowledge and expertise transfer, particularly in integrated risk management, inclusive development, and climate issues, aligning with Morocco’s government policies aimed at improving macroeconomic balances and effectively implementing development strategies across sectors.
This holistic approach, as emphasized by the Ambassador, stems from a vision driven by His Majesty the King, wherein the human dimension serves as the foremost prism guiding all considerations, orientations, and choices for the nation. Beyond national borders, the Ambassador highlighted that His Majesty the King's Atlantic initiative reflects a commitment to promoting regional spaces of shared prosperity, where efficient collaboration and sincere solidarity ensure more inclusive development and security for all.
In his turn, Mr. Banga praised His Majesty the King's leadership in economic reforms and social construction, asserting that the Kingdom stands as a model of resilience and crisis management, thanks to targeted and effective government actions. He also commended, in this context, Morocco for the excellent arrangements made for the successful organization of the Annual Meetings of the WB and IMF in Marrakech in October 2023.
