This renovation project, in line with His Majesty King Mohammed VI's vision of proximity and support for Moroccans worldwide, aims to provide modern and efficient consular services responding to the needs of Moroccan residents in the United States.

Minister Bourita underlined that the enhancement of consular services is “a priority for the Kingdom to meet the growing expectations of the Moroccan community in terms of efficiency and effectiveness”.

This landmark building, which is part of the historical district of Dupont Circle, houses the renovated consular section, which has undergone extensive modernization, including comprehensive upgrades to its infrastructures and facilities.

These improvements incorporate the latest information and communication technologies to expedite the issuance of administrative documents such as passports and national identity cards, ensuring quicker and smoother handling of applications.

Additionally, considerable attention has been given to the user experience, with the creation of a modern reception area and equipped waiting rooms designed to provide visitors with a welcoming and functional environment.

This inauguration marks a significant step preceding the upcoming opening of a new Consulate General of Morocco in Miami, Florida. This initiative will further strengthen Morocco's consular presence in the United States, offering even more accessible services to Moroccan citizens residing in the southeastern region and its vicinity.

Regardless of their location within the United States, Moroccan nationals are encouraged to visit the consulate or consular service of their choice, where they will be provided by assistance with all requested services.

Through these efforts, the Moroccan Embassy in the federal capital of the United States reinforces its capacity to deliver consular services that meet the expectations of its fellow citizens residing in the United States of America.
