Idrisid Dynasty (788-974 CE)
Founded by Idris I, a descendant of the Prophet Mohammed sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, the Idrisid dynasty established the first centralized state in Morocco.
The dynasty's capital, Fes, emerged as a center of learning and religious scholarship, fostering the development of Islamic jurisprudence and theology.
Architectural marvels such as the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, founded by Fatima al-Fihriya in Fes, exemplify the dynasty's contributions to Islamic education and culture.
