Moroccan Embassy in Washington: An Iftar Celebrating Values of Sharing, Empathy and Solidarity

In his address, Ambassador Youssef Amrani emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a moment of unity, highlighting Morocco's leadership in promoting interfaith dialogue and the values of tolerance, inclusion, and diversity. He noted that under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has become a beacon of openness, tolerance, and mutual respect, fostering a unique blend of cultures and civilizations.
The Ambassador also acknowledged the strong bonds between the Moroccan community and their homeland, as well as the important role Moroccans in the United States, play in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two nations. Attendees praised the initiative, recognizing its value in strengthening human connections within the Moroccan community and promoting Morocco's distinctive model of interfaith dialogue and coexistence.
